1.      Definition

Survey is collecting information about a group of people by asking questions and analyzing the results. Surveys can be conducted as quick interviews, with the surveyor only asking a few questions.

Surveys are used as a data collection method in various fields. They are a good choice when looking to find out about the characteristics, preferences, opinions, or beliefs of a group of people.

Data is usually obtained through the use of standard procedures to ensure that each respondent can answer questions on a level playing field in order to avoid biased opinions that may affect research or research results. The process involves asking people for information via a questionnaire, which can be online or offline.

   2.    Function a Survey

    • To obtain facts from existing symptoms.
    • To seeking factual information from a group, area, etc.
    • To evaluate and compare things that have been done by other people in dealing with similar things.
    • Conducted on a number of individuals / units either by census or by sample.
    • The results are for planning and decision making.

           Used in surveys:

-          Statement, is a sentence that has a value of true or false, but not both true and false.

-          Question, is an expression of someone's curiosity about an information that is set forth in a question sentence.


   5.      Types of survey

a)     Questionnaire

      The questionnaire contained a list of questions which were distributed by mail, online or in person, and the respondents filled them out themselves.

b)     Interview

      Interviews were conducted by asking a series of questions over the phone or in person and recording the responses.

                    1) 

      From this data, there are 80.8% of online game users. Meaning that there are 21 out of 26 people who play online games.


                    2)  

        From this data, 44% of online game users play Mobile Legends game, 8% play Free Fire games, and 48 use other games, such as Minecraft, Gneshin Impact, Simcity and others.


                    3) 

          From this data most people play only occasionally, but there are those who play for more than 10 hours or even 24 hours.


                    4) 

            From these data most people feel happy when playing online games.


                    5) 

    From this data, most people play online games to fill their free time and have fun.

                7) Narrative text

                    I made a survey via Google Forms. The survey I made was in the form of an online game user survey. there I asked a few questions. the questions I ask are about playing online games, what games are played, how many times and how many hours do you play in a day and what do you feel when you play and the reasons why you play online games.

                    The results of the survey that I made were on the first question, that there were as many as 80.8% of online game users, meaning that there were 21 out of 26 people who played online games. on the second question regarding what online games are being played, namely there are 44% which means that 11 out of 26 people play the Mobile Legends game, 8% which means that 2 out of 26 people play Free Fire, and the remaining 48% play other games such as Minecraft, Genshin Impact, PUBG, SimCity, Pet Shop and more.   

            On the third question regarding how many times you play games in a day, that is, most of them play games 3 (three) times a day, but there are those who play games many times a day. On the fourth question regarding what is felt when playing games, namely most people feel happy when playing games, but there are also those who feel sad when playing because they lose the game. On the fifth question regarding the reasons for playing games, that is, most people play games to fill their free time and have fun.
